owl drawing

I was flipping through the book I got from the library: Birds A Visual Guide when I came across  a picture of an owl with its wings spread wide. I thought it would be fun to draw. All of those little details were hard to get in but I am pretty happy with the drawing now that I am a few days away from it.  I think when I draw from life I am getting more loose, less cartoony. I am also trying to not fear the two page spread. I am intimidated by the crack. I don't think this drawing would be the same without that full extended wing so I had to traverse the crack. Do something creative today!
